Starter Post

To anyone who may one day read this blog, here is where it begins.

I am a newly minted stay-at-home mom, caring for Queen Bea and a small household in Emeryville, California. I still work, a bit, but mostly I am adjusting to a more traditional female role than my women's studies classes in college would ever have predicted.

Here's the thing, I like it a lot more that I thought I would.

I am less divided. I am more present with my daughter and sometimes with my husband. The house is sure cleaner. I envision more time to learn again.

Hopefully I capture a bit of it here.
